Let's hope Nick Baker is right about this, and that well be able to enjoy even more classic games on Xbox Series S/X in the future to remind us of our video game history. He claims there will be games from both Xbox and Xbox 360, although he adds that he does not "think the list will be overly big". But according to a new rumour, this might be at least somewhat rectified next month when Xbox is turning 20 years old.Īccording to the insider Shpeshal_Nick, Microsoft is preparing a new round of retro gaming as a part of the Xbox 20th anniversary celebrations. Lollipop Chainsaw was an action game released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. The Xbox 360 version of Lollipop Chainsaw is not on the Xbox Series X/S backward compatibility list, nor is it available to purchase on PS4 or PS5. With the latest venture into next-gen territory with the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has stuck with its backward compatible guns and kept that list growing. Unfortunately, there are still a couple of classics from the two latter formats that haven't been made backward compatible like Lollipop Chainsaw, Max Payne 3, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, The Saboteur and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A Lollipop Chainsaw remake is welcome, as it can't be played on modern systems. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Unfortunately, Lollipop Chainsaw isn't backwards compatible on either Xbox One or Series X. Lollipop Chainsaw is a 2012 action-adventure hack-and-slash video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.A collaboration between game designer Goichi Suda (also known by his nickname Suda51) and filmmaker James Gunn, it was released by Kadokawa Games in Japan and Warner Bros. I found it fun to play and i would love to play it on the xbox one. Lollipop Chainsaw is currently unplayable unless you own both a copy of it and either an Xbox 360 or PS3. If you have an Xbox Series S/X, you can play all Xbox One games in enhanced versions (some could almost be considered remasters), but as Microsoft has really made an effort with game preserving, you can also play almost 600 Xbox 360 games (once again enhanced) as well 39 titles from the original Xbox. This needs to be on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.
